India and South Africa will face off at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday for the T20 World Cup 2024 championship. India aims for its second T20 title following a decisive 68-run victory over reigning champion England. South Africa, appearing in its first T20 World Cup final, hopes to make history.

T20 World Cup Prize Money for Winners and Runner-UP

Both the T20 World Cup winners and runner-up will receive a huge sum as prize money. The winning team will take home $2.45 million, while the runner-up will receive $1.28 million.

ICC also offers prize money for the teams that make it to the semi-finals. So both England and Afghanistan, the semi-finalists, will each receive $787,500.

The ICC has allocated a record total prize pool of $11.25 million for this T20 World Cup edition. Teams that were eliminated in the second round are set to get $382,500 each. Teams finishing between ninth and 12th places will receive $247,500 each. Those ranked from 13th to 20th will be given $225,000.

A further incentive for teams is that each match won, excluding the semi-finals and finals, will earn them an additional $31,154.

The match promises to be a thrilling contest, as both teams have shown exceptional form throughout the tournament. Fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating the showdown to see who will be crowned the new T20 World Cup champion.

The T20 World 2024, which started from June 1, was co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States. It saw participation of 20 teams which have been divided in four groups.

The teams in the four groups were:
Group A- USA, India, Pakistan, Canada, Ireland
Group B- Australia, England, Namibia, Oman, Scotland
Group C- Afghanistan, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Uganda, West Indies
