ICC T20 WC: Cinepolis India partners Star Sports to screen Team India matches

Cinema exhibitor Cinepolis has partnered with Star Sports to screen all Team India matches during the ICC T20 Men's World Cup, which will be held in the US and West Indies from June 1–29.

The company has secured cinema screening rights for the T20 World Cup, allowing Indian cricket fans to watch matches on the big screen at 40 Cinepolis locations nationwide.

It will broadcast all India games, including semi-finals and finals, live from June 5 to June 29, starting at 8 pm IST.


The cinema's ambiance, characterised by high-definition visuals and surround sound, provides a stadium-like experience, the company said, adding that the initiative will allow fans to connect, celebrate, and bond over cricket.

"Cricket is more than just a sport in India; it is a unifying force that brings people together. We believe that big matches deserve the big screen, and this association ensures that fans can experience the thrill of cricket in a truly immersive and communal environment," said Cinepolis India MD Devang Sampat.

Cinepolis India had earlier screened the Asia Cup and the ICC T20 World Cup in 2022.

Tickets for the screenings will be available at all 40 participating Cinepolis locations and online. Cinépolis is offering a 25% discount on ticket bookings for the event, exclusively on its website and app.
