I am trying to meet Mr Jaitley: PCB chief Shaharyar Khan
NEW DELHI: With possibilities of a bilateral series against India looking remote, Pakistan Cricket Board chief Shaharyar Khan is trying to seek an appointment with Union finance minister Arun Jaitley in the capital today.

"Mr Najam Sethi has flown to Dubai. I am trying to meet Mr Arun Jaitley and discuss the issue with him. Unke saath Milne ki koshish jaari hain (Trying my best to meet him)," Khan told PTI over phone from the city hotel where he has put up.

Asked whether there is any chance whatsoever of the series going ahead, Khan said, "Till I get a chance to meet anyone, talking about it is a waste of time. I can only talk when I have had some discussions."

According to top BCCI sources, the Delhi Police has categorically told some of their top officers to inform about Khan's movement so that he gets additional security cover in the wake of the Shiv Sena's storming of BCCI headquarters in Mumbai yesterday.

If at all any unofficial meeting happens, it will happen in the evening.

The much-anticipated series scheduled in December has been thrown into jeopardy owing to the Sena protests at the BCCI office during which the party's workers gheraoed Board chief Shashank Manohar in his chamber.
