Skipper Sikandar Raza led the charge with a blistering unbeaten knock of 133 from just 43 balls, smashing 15 sixes and 7 fours. Raza became the first Zimbabwean to hit a T20I century, reaching the milestone in just 33 balls, tying with Namibia's Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton for the second-fastest century in T20I history. However, it fell six balls short of Sahil Chauhan’s record 27-ball century for Estonia.
Raza's fireworks were bolstered by quick contributions from openers Brian Bennett (50 off 26) and Tadiwanashe Marumani (62 off 19), who contributed for a rapid 98-run partnership. Clive Madande added an unbeaten 53 off just 17 deliveries, propelling Zimbabwe to a new T20I milestone.
Earlier this month, India's 297/6 against Bangladesh stood as the third-highest team total in T20I history.
