India sealed a 15-run win to complete a clean sweep of the five-match series, which concluded on December 30. Harmanpreet starred with a 68 off 43 balls, earning the Player of the Match award and edging closer to the top 10 in the rankings.
Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma retained their third and sixth positions respectively, while Australia’s Beth Mooney continued to hold the top spot. Jemimah Rodrigues slipped out of the top 10 and is now placed 12th.
In the bowling rankings, India’s Deepti Sharma lost her No. 1 position after figures of one for 28 in the final T20I, allowing Australia’s Annabel Sutherland to reclaim the top spot with 736 rating points—just one more than Deepti. Sutherland had first reached the summit in August 2025, when Pakistan spinner Sadia Iqbal briefly ceded the top ranking.
Indian left-arm spinner Shree Charani made notable gains, moving up five places to 47th. Among Sri Lankan bowlers, Kavisha Dilhari rose one spot to 32nd, while captain Chamari Athapaththu climbed three places to 48th. (With inputs from PTI)
