This phased approach is a strategic necessity due to the upcoming state assembly elections in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.

By announcing only the initial block of fixtures today, the board ensures it can remain agile, coordinating with the Election Commission of India to finalize the latter half of the tournament once polling dates and security logistics for those specific regions are fully locked in.

A resilience-filled run in IPL 2025

During the 2025 season, the Titans demonstrated remarkable consistency, finishing third in the league stage with nine wins and 18 points.

It was a campaign defined by individual brilliance and collective grit, highlighted by Sai Sudharsan’s incredible "Orange Cap" performance, as he amassed a staggering 759 runs.

While the team’s journey ended prematurely with a hard-fought loss to Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator, the season proved that the 2022 champions remain one of the most formidable units in the league, capable of dominating any opposition on their day.

Stability has been the hallmark of the Titans' strategy for 2026, as the franchise has opted to retain a league-high 20 players to preserve the chemistry that made them so successful.

Leading the charge once again is the astute Shubman Gill, who will be supported by a powerhouse core including the explosive Jos Buttler and top-scorer Sai Sudharsan.

The bowling department remains equally lethal with the retention of spin maestro Rashid Khan and the pace duo of Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna.

Furthermore, the team has bolstered its tactical edge by appointing the legendary Matthew Hayden as batting coach. With these stalwarts fresh off the inspiration of India’s World Cup triumph, the Gujarat Titans are ready to turn the "Aava De" roar into another championship victory.
