Gill, Sudharsan power GT to playoffs with crushing 10-wicket win over DC

In today's IPL 2025 Match 60 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, the Gujarat Titans (GT) delivered a commanding performance to defeat the Delhi Capitals (DC) by 10 wickets, securing their spot in the playoffs.

Batting first, DC posted a formidable total of 199/3 in their 20 overs, highlighted by KL Rahul's unbeaten 112 off 65 balls. However, GT's openers, Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill, orchestrated a flawless chase, reaching the target without losing a wicket in just 18.2 overs. Sudharsan and Gill showcased GT's dominance in the tournament.

If Delhi Capitals win their remaining two league matches—against Mumbai Indians on May 21 and Punjab Kings on May 24 in Jaipur—they will secure a top-four finish and qualify for the IPL 2025 playoffs starting May 29. Winning both games will bring DC’s points to 17 from 14 matches, a total that Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants won’t be able to surpass.


So far, three teams—Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Punjab Kings—have already qualified for the playoffs, while Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals have been eliminated.

With this win, Gujarat Titans have strengthened their position at the top of the points table, ensuring their qualification for the playoffs. Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, face a challenging path ahead to secure a playoff berth.
