Gautam Gambhir tweets clarification on biopics after Twitter outrage
He was a member of the teams that lifted the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 in 2007 - he made 75 in the final - and the 2011 World Cup, when he made 97 in the final.

"My detractors got it wrong. Am not against ANY ONE cricketers's biopic, am against d very concept which includes a biopic on my life" tweeted Gambhir just a day after starting that "doesn't believe in biopics on cricketers".
On Sunday, a tweet on Gambhir's official handle read: "I don't believe in biopics on cricketers. I think those people who have contributed more to the country than the cricketers deserve a biopic. There are lots of people in the country who have done so many noble deeds for the nation. Therefore, biopics should be made on their lives."

This created a storm on social media, with many seeing the Delhi captain's statements as a dig at the upcoming biopic on MS Dhoni, India's ODI and T20I captain, titled 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story'.
Gambhir, 34, has played 56 Tests, 147 ODIs and 37 T20Is for India. He was a member of the teams that lifted the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 in 2007 - he made 75 in the final - and the 2011 World Cup, when he made 97 in the final but lost out on the Man-of-the-Match award to Dhoni, who made 91 not out off 79 balls. Gambhir was also a significant contributor to India's rise to No 1 in the ICC Test rankings in December 2009, scoring almost 3800 runs with seven centuries in the 18-month period before that.
