Marking his 30th year in the Indian cricket ecosystem, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly today tweeted about a cryptic new venture, fuelling speculation that the former India Team Captain is stepping down from his post at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)

"I hope you continue your support as I enter this chapter in my life," Ganguly said in his tweet.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah was quick to respond to the speculation, stating that Ganguly was not stepping down.

"The rumours doing rounds about Mr Sourav Ganguly stepping down from the post of BCCI President are factually incorrect," BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in a statement.

"We have some exciting times in the form of media rights coming up and my colleagues and I are completely focused on the upcoming opportunity and safeguarding the interest of Indian cricket," Shah further stated.
