Indian Twitterati exploded in delight as PV Sindhu etched history after becoming the first Indian woman to enter the badminton singles final at Rio Olympics 2016. The 23-year-old shuttler smashed Japan's Nozomi Okuhara 21-19, 21-10 in the semi-final match to score the silver medal and keep the hopes of a gold high.

The two time bronze Medalist made her way into the semi-finals after defeating China's Wang Yihan.
