From 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryanvanshi to 18-year-old Allah Ghazafnar: Five youngest players to watchout for at IPL auction 2025

With less than a week to go for the ultimate showdown in the sporting history, cricketers are bracing for the Indian Premier League 2025 auction, scheduled for November 24-25.

On one hand, MS Dhoni, 43, is the oldest cricketer, ready to go under the gavel, Bihar's Vaibhav Suryanvanshi, 14, is the youngest one, eyeing a spot in one of the teams.

Suryavanshi is not the only young gun, who will add to the fiery auction. The IPL 2025 Mega Auction is set to showcase young cricketing talent, with several teenagers making headlines.

Here are the five youngest cricketers in IPL auction

Vaibhav Suryavanshi (India) – 14 years
The youngest player in IPL history, Vaibhav made his first-class debut for Bihar at just 12 years and 284 days. He recently smashed a 62-ball 104 in a youth Test against Australia and is part of India’s U-19 squad for the ACC U-19 Asia Cup.

Ayush Mhatre (India) – 17 years

Andre Siddarth (India) – 18 years
The towering Tamil Nadu middle-order batter has excelled in the Ranji Trophy, scoring 294 runs at an average of 98. A call-up to the U-19 Asia Cup squad highlights his bright future.

Kwena Maphaka (South Africa) – 18 years
The left-arm pacer consistently clocks 140 kmph and has already played T20Is for South Africa. After a stint with Mumbai Indians, he returns to the auction hoping for a larger role.
