SYDNEY: Former Melbourne Victory captain Kevin Muscat has been named the dirtiest player in football.

A Spanish football website El Gol Digital compiled a countdown of the most violent players in the history of the game. It posted a list of the 10 worst offenders of the past and present, including Luis Suarez, Roy Keane and Andoni Goikoetxea.

The list of dirtiest footballers is as follows:
