A total of 67 players, including 24 overseas players, were sold on the first day of the mega Indian Premier League (IPL) player auction, with Rs 464 crore spent overall (till 10:45 pm on Sunday). Rishabh Pant emerged as the most expensive player, fetching an impressive Rs 27 crore, acquired by the Lucknow Super Giants. Arshdeep Singh was retained by the Punjab Kings using an Right-To-Match (RTM) card for Rs 18 crore.
