The 24-year-old Norwegian striker expressed his delight and said, “I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great Club. Manchester City is a special Club, full of fantastic people with amazing supporters and it’s the type of environment that helps bring the best out of everybody."

Haaland’s record-breaking journey with City began in spectacular fashion. In his debut 2022/23 season, he scored an unprecedented 52 goals in all competitions, the highest-ever tally by a Premier League player in a single season.His 36 league goals also broke the previous record held by Andrew Cole and Alan Shearer. That year, Haaland helped City achieve a historic treble, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League.
Despite injuries last season, Haaland maintained his prolific form, scoring 38 goals in 45 appearances and winning his second consecutive Golden Boot. He has continued to impress in the ongoing 2024/25 campaign, with 21 goals in all competitions so far, becoming the 15th highest scorer in City’s history.
