Entry to all FIH Men's Junior Hockey World Cup 2025 matches to be free, says Hockey India

Hockey India has announced that entry will be free for all matches of the FIH Hockey Men's Junior World Cup Tamil Nadu 2025, marking a significant step to boost fan participation. The tournament will be held from November 28 to December 10 in Chennai and Madurai and will feature 24 teams, making it the largest edition in the event's history.

Free digital ticketing system for spectators

Fans can obtain free virtual tickets through www.ticketgenie.in or the Hockey India mobile app. After registration, spectators will receive a digital ticket for paperless entry without physical redemption.


Hockey India President Dr Dilip Tirkey told ANI that the decision aims to make the event widely accessible and create an enthusiastic crowd atmosphere. He said the initiative is intended to welcome students, families, young athletes, and hockey enthusiasts from Tamil Nadu and across India.

Hockey India Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh said this is the first time Tamil Nadu is hosting the Junior World Cup and the organisation wants full stadiums. He said free access aligns with efforts to build the game at the grassroots level and inspire more participation, as reported by ANI.

India begin campaign against Chile on November 28

A total of 24 teams will compete in four pools. India is placed in Pool A with Chile, Oman, and Switzerland. The host nation will open its campaign against Chile on November 28 in Chennai, followed by matches against Oman on November 29 and Switzerland on December 2.
