India's Shikhar Dhawan (R) plays a shot during the first Twenty20 international cricket match between India and England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera on March 12, 2021.
England captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to field in the first Twenty20 international against India on Friday.

The world's biggest cricket stadium _ Narendra Modi Stadium _ will host all five matches. Dew late in the day in Ahmedabad could encourage teams to chase after winning the toss.

``Last couple of nights at training there's been a bit of dew around,'' Morgan said. ''(With) five consecutive games on this ground, it's probably going to turn and slow up as the series goes on, so that's a part of our game we want to work on.''

India captain Virat Kohli said regular Twenty20 opener Rohit Sharma will rest in the first couple of games and KL Rahul will open with Shikhar Dhawan.

Kohli said he would have also batted first had he won the toss as he expected dew to play a ``massive factor'' in the second half of the game.

While England included four fast bowlers in Sam Curran, Jofra Archer, Chris Jordan and Mark Wood, India has opted to play two fast bowlers and three spinners in Axar Patel, Washington Sundar and Yuzvendra Chahal.
