Fantasy gaming platform Dream11 on Friday won the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)'s lead sponsor rights for Rs 358 crore.

As per sources, Dream11 emerged as the sole serious contender in the race, with only two companies showing interest by picking up the tender document.

Byju's had an optional agreement with the BCCI until November, but they decided to end the contract in March. Since then, Team India has been without a jersey sponsor and even played the recent World Test Championship final without one.

During this time, the team wore new training and match jerseys provided by Adidas, as reported earlier in February.

Under the previous deal with Byju's, the BCCI earned around Rs 5.5 crore for each bilateral match and Rs 1.7 crore for an ICC game due to logo placement.
