Radha Kapoor-owned DoIT Sports Management, which owns Delhi and Mumbai franchises of the Pro Kabaddi League and Hockey India League, respectively, and Dabang Smashers Table Tennis Club of the Ultimate Table Tennis, is preparing to launch its first IP-Pedal Delhi, on November 5.

The inaugural cyclothon property, ‘Saksham Pedal Delhi’, will propagate the significance of fuel conservation and efficient energy utilisation.

Pedal Delhi has roped in Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), as the presenting sponsor, while the Cycling Federation of India (CFI) has come in as an associate partner.

“Our objective is to leverage the consistently growing health and fitness consciousness amongst the youth. Anchored on sport to create an impact on society, Saksham Pedal Delhi is our endeavour to institute a mass participative platform at the back of cycling,” Saumya Khaitan, CEO at DoIT Sports Management, told ET.

He said that Delhiites have come out in good support and 70% registrations are already done.

There are 4 race categories, in which close to 5000 are expected to take part.
