South Africa's rising star Dewald Brevis followed his stunning century in the second T20I with another half century against Australia in the third and the final T20I against Australia at Cairns on Saturday. In his explosive knock of 53 off 26 balls, the middle order batter smashed six sixes, including three consecutive no-look sixes, each of which was sent out of the stadium.

The 22-year-old came in at No.4 after the fall of Lhuan-dre Pretorius and carried forward from where he left in the previous match. In the 10th over of the innings, Brevis smashed Aaron Hardie for three no-look sixes in a row.

The carnage started off the third ball of the over when he dispatched a shortish length ball over mid-wicket. On the next ball, Brevis got under the ball and sent the ball sailing over the long on fence. The fifth ball of the over completed the hattrick of sixes as Hardie overpitched outside off stump and the batter smoked it over long off.

The fans were elated owing to the stunning hitting by the youngster. A fan even jumped over the fence while trying to catch the ball.
Brevis' stay was cut short in the 12th over, thanks to a sharp catch by Glenn Maxwell at long on. However, he had given momentum to South Africa's innings in his brief, yet impactful stay in the middle.

South Africa posted 172/7 in 20 overs, with Nathan Ellis being the pick of the bowlers with three wickets for Australia. Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa got two wickets each.
