Royal Challengers Bengaluru WPL Auction 2027 Players List: Smriti Mandhana to Ellyse Perry, check base price, auction price and full squad

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) enters the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2027 auction looking to strengthen their squad depth as the defending champions prepare for the fifth edition of the tournament. With Rs 1.15 crore remaining in their purse and five slots to fill, including two overseas positions, the franchise will need to make strategic choices at the auction in Kochi on Wednesday.

The TATA WPL 2027 auction will begin at 5:30 PM on October 28, with 146 players in the auction pool and 27 slots available across the five franchises. RCB have retained 13 players, including four overseas cricketers, with captain Smriti Mandhana, wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh, Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry and New Zealand all-rounder Nadine de Klerk among the key players in their squad.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru WPL 2027 Auction: Full players list

RCB have retained a core group of players after their title-winning campaign and will look to use their remaining slots to address gaps in the squad. The franchise released Grace Harris, Linsey Smith, Gautami Naik and Dayalan Hemalatha ahead of the auction.

The departure of left-arm spinner Linsey Smith also leaves RCB with scope to assess their spin-bowling options as they finalise their squad for the new season.

The full auction list will be updated as players are bought by the franchise.

Speaking on JioStar's 'Follow the Blues: The Dawn of Captain Smriti', cricketer Smriti Mandhana elaborated on the role of the WPL in identifying players for the future.

“The WPL has been a huge benefit in that we have found quite a few players in the WPL, but now it's our responsibility to figure out how we take them forward and make them into bigger match-winners. We definitely have exciting talent in our team right now. We have eight to nine people aged 19-24, which is pretty exciting. They have all played good cricket during the India A series. We have followed everything, and they have played very good cricket. So now it's on us to take them forward and make them lead the way for India," she said.
