Shreyas Iyer breaks into T20I top 10 at career-best No. 7; Gill retains ODI top spot
India T20I captain Shreyas Iyer has climbed 18 places to a career-best seventh position in the latest ICC Men's T20I rankings after his maiden century in the format, while ODI skipper Shubman Gill retained the top spot among batters.

Iyer smashed an unbeaten 102 off 43 balls, including 10 fours and six sixes, in India's eight-wicket win over the West Indies in the series opener in Lucknow on Tuesday.

The knock made Iyer India's third-highest ranked T20I batter, with Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma occupying the top two positions. Tilak Varma is ranked 10th, giving India four batters in the top 10. Teenager Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has also moved up eight places to 46th.


West Indies batter Sherfane Rutherford gained 10 places to 37th after his 56, while Pakistan's Hasan Nawaz climbed 62 spots to 48th following his performances at the Asian Games.

Rashid Khan returns to No. 1

Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan has reclaimed the top spot in the T20I bowling rankings from Pakistan's Abrar Ahmed.

India spinner Axar Patel moved up 16 places to seventh after taking two wickets in each of three matches during the week. Bangladesh's Nasum Ahmed rose three places to eighth, while teammate Mahedi Hasan jumped 10 spots to ninth.

Gill retains top ODI ranking

Gill consolidated his position at the top of the ODI batting rankings after his unbeaten 223 in the second match against the West Indies in Guwahati.

His second double-century in ODIs, and the highest score in an ODI run chase, earned him 25 rating points and took him to 841, matching his career-best rating.

Former India captain Virat Kohli slipped from second to third, while KL Rahul climbed seven places to return to the top 10 at 10th after scoring a hundred in the third ODI against the West Indies.

West Indies captain Shai Hope moved up two places to sixth after his 162 in the series finale. Teammate Amir Jangoo jumped from outside the top 100 to 55th.

In the ODI bowling rankings, West Indies pacer Jayden Seales moved up 12 places to 10th after taking four wickets in the series against India, reaching a new career-high rating.
