India opted to bat first in the second Test, handing Saransh Jain his debut. India lead the series 1–0, while Sri Lanka also fielded two debutants.
India have an unassailable 1-0 lead in the two-match series, having won the opening Test at Galle by a massive 165 runs.
For Sri Lanka, batters Kamil Mishara and Pasindu Sooriyabandara are making their Test debut.
Saransh replaced Kuldeep Yadav, who is still recovering from a viral infection.

However, the left-arm spinner would be available as a concussion substitute if required.
"Mr Kuldeep Yadav has not fully recovered from his viral illness. He was unavailable for selection in the Playing XI for the second Test against Sri Lanka. However, he can take the field as a concussion substitute, if required," the BCCI said.
