India vs West Indies 5th T20I: Pitch, weather forecast, head-to-head record and full squads

International cricket returns to Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium after a two-year gap as India and West Indies prepare to face each other in the fifth and final T20I of the series. However, rain could disrupt the series decider, with the weather forecast pointing to a significant chance of showers during the night. The pitch, meanwhile, is expected to favour batters, potentially setting the stage for a high-scoring contest if conditions allow a full match.

India vs West Indies 5th T20I weather report

Rain remains a potential concern ahead of the fifth T20I at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The forecast referenced before the match indicates around a 70% chance of rain during the night.

If the prediction holds, showers could interrupt play and raise the possibility of a reduced-overs contest. Such a situation could force both teams to adjust their approach, particularly if the match is shortened substantially.

With the series decider at stake, the weather could prove an important factor in determining how the two sides plan their innings and manage the available overs.

India vs West Indies 5th T20I: Why Bengaluru’s return matters

The fifth T20I marks the return of international cricket to the Chinnaswamy Stadium after a two-year absence. The venue last hosted New Zealand for a Test in 2024 and subsequently missed out on hosting matches during both the Women’s ODI World Cup last year and the Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year.

International cricket was absent from the stadium following damage associated with stampedes during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s victory celebrations in 2025.
