Kishan, with 876 rating points, moved to the top on the back of his consistent performances at the T20 World Cup earlier this year, where he scored 317 runs at a strike rate close to 200, including a Player of the Match effort against Pakistan in Colombo. Abhishek, who had held the top spot for nearly 12 months, now sits second with 869 points.
Kishan becomes only the fourth Indian men’s batter to reach No. 1 in T20Is, joining an elite group that includes Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav.

Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan is third with 848 points.
Among other Indians, newly appointed vice-captain Tilak Varma remains sixth with 747 points, while Suryakumar Yadav has slipped one place to eighth.
In the bowling rankings, India’s Varun Chakravarthy and Jasprit Bumrah have each dropped one spot to third and sixth respectively, while Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan continues to lead the chart.

In Test rankings, Australia’s Travis Head has moved to No. 1, replacing Joe Root, who has dropped to third. India captain Shubman Gill has risen to sixth, Yashasvi Jaiswal has slipped to ninth, while Rishabh Pant remains India’s highest-ranked batter outside the top 10 at 13th. Bumrah continues to lead among Test bowlers.
