Japan Asian Games 2026: Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana in frame

The Women's Selection Committee of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced the India Women's squad for the Asian Games 2026, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, along with Smriti Mandhana as vice-captain.

The tournament is scheduled to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, in September this year.

The Indian women's team will enter the competition as the defending champions, having won the gold medal in the women's cricket competition at the previous Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China.

Harmanpreet Kaur (Captain), Smriti Mandhana (Vice-Captain), Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (WK), G. Kamalini (WK), Bharti Fulmali, Sree Charani, Renuka Thakur, Kranti Gaud, Arundhati Reddy, Radha Yadav, Nandni Sharma.

Shreyanka Patil's spot in the Indian squad is subject to fitness clearance, BCCI said in a media advisory.
