Abhishek Sharma reclaims No. 1 spot in T20I batting rankings

Abhishek hammered 113 off just 38 deliveries in Wellington on Tuesday, bringing up his fourth century in the format as India crushed the black caps to a six-wicket win. The knock was enough to take him past teammate Ishan Kishan in rankings, who missed the second and third matches of the five-match series due to injury.
The Indian opener now sits atop the rankings with 897 rating points, ahead of Pakistan T20I captain Sahibzada Farhan (883) and Kishan (866).
Kishan had dethroned Abhishek in July following a string of impressive performances in Ireland. His stay at the top, however, has been short-lived. The wicketkeeper-batter has now slipped to third. India T20I captain Shreyas Iyer has also lost ground, dropping five places to ninth with 758 points.
There has been a major shake-up in the Test rankings as well, with South Africa's Marco Jansen claiming the No. 1 spot in both the bowling and all-rounder categories.
Jansen's rise comes on the back of a commanding all-round display against Australia in the second ICC World Test Championship contest in Gqeberha. The left-arm pacer may key contributions to the Proteas' victory with 85 runs and picked up five wickets in Australia's first innings.
It is the first time Jansen has topped either chart, and his performance has also seen him jump 13 places to 56th in the Test batting rankings.
His climb has ended Ravindra Jadeja's reign at the top of the Test all-rounder rankings, a position the Indian had held for more than four years, according to the ICC.
Jansen's latest achievement also comes shortly after former South African pacer Dale Steyn described him as "the best cricketer in the world".
Australia's Mitchell Starc, meanwhile, has been pushed down to second in the Test bowling rankings. India's Jasprit Bumrah has also slipped a place and now occupies fifth spot with 853 rating points.
The women's rankings have seen a change at the top, too. South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt has overtaken India's Smriti Mandhana to become the No. 1 ODI batter.
Mandhana has dropped to second in the ODI rankings and remains fourth in the T20I batting charts, one spot behind fellow Indian opener Shafali Verma.
