With the tournament being short with no more than five matches for a team who qualifies for the final, no one has breached the 1,000-run mark. West Indies legend Chris Gayle leads the charts with 791 runs and is followed by Sri Lankan great Mahela Jayawardene with 742 runs and Shikhar Dhawan, who has 701 runs. These are the only three batters to have breached 700 runs in Champions Trophy.

Kumar Sangakkara: Another Sri Lankan legend, who has played six Champions Trophy tournaments, is Sangakkara. He has scored 683 runs at an average of 37 and has a highest score of 134 not out.
Saurav Ganguly: The former Indian captain has played four Champions Trophy tournaments from 1998-2004. He has scored 665 runs with three hundreds and maintained an average of 73. He has a highest score of 141 not out. He caps off the top five highest run-getters in the 'Mini World Cup'.
Jacques Kallis: The South African great has scored 665 runs in 17 matches across six tournaments with an average of 46 and a best score of 113 not out.
Ricky Ponting: The Australian former captain, who also won two Champions Trophies, scored 593 runs in 18 matches with an average 0f 39. He has a highest score of 111 not out.
Sanath Jayasuriya: With 536 runs, Jayasuriya caps off the list. He has played 20 matches and has an highest score of 102 not out.
