The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will start today on February 19, with Pakistan facing New Zealand in Karachi. India, led by Rohit Sharma, will begin its campaign against Bangladesh in Dubai on February 20. The tournament, recognized as the second most significant one-day international (ODI) event after the World Cup, will run until March 9.

India has opted not to travel to Pakistan due to longstanding political tensions. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced in December that all of India’s matches will be held in Dubai. The tournament features two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has a total prize pool of $6.9 million, an increase of 53 percent from the 2017 edition. The winning team will receive $2.24 million, while the runners-up will get $1.12 million. Each losing semi-finalist will take home $560,000.
