BCCI sets up organising committee for ICC World T20 2016 to be held in India

The Indian cricket board has formed the organising committee for the forthcoming ICC World Twenty20 that will be hosted by the BCCI from March 11 to April 3, 2016 in India.

NEW DELHI: The Indian cricket board has formed the organising committee for the forthcoming ICC World Twenty20 that will be hosted by the BCCI from March 11 to April 3, 2016 in India.

The board has nominated MV Sridhar, general manager for cricket operations at BCCI as the tournament director while former Delhi Police commissioner Neeraj Kumar, who is the chief advisor security and ACSU of BCCI will be the director of Security and ACSU for the event, said Anurag Thakur, secretary, BCCI.

Amrit Mathur has been appointed as the principal coordinator, RP Shah will be the tournament manager finance, KVP Rao, manager – game development of the BCCI has been appointed as the manager for cricket operations while Nishant Jeet Arora, media manager of the BCCI, will be the tournament media manager.

Mayank Parikh, who worked as N Srinivasan’s assistant during his three-year stint as BCCI president has been nominated as manager – logistics and hospitality for the event. Professor Ratnakar Shetty, who was the tournament director of the ICC Cricket World Cup-2011, has been appointed as an advisor to the committee.
