BCCI Secretary Jay Shah announces hike in match fee for domestic cricketers

Senior cricketers who have played more than 40 matches will get a hike of Rs 60,000. Cricketers that are under the age of 23 will get an increase of Rs 25,000 and those under the age of 19 will get Rs 20,000 more.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has announced a hike in match fee for domestic cricketers. The Board for Cricket Council in India met and discussed several issues among which were the matches impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Senior cricketers who have played more than 40 matches will get a hike of Rs 60,000. Cricketers that are under the age of 23 will get an increase of Rs 25,000 and those under the age of 19 will get Rs 20,000 more.



Shah has also said that cricketers that have played in the 2019-20 Domestic Season will get compensated with a 50% additional match fee for the lost season.
