BCCI saga: Supreme Court issues notice to N Srinivasan and Niranjan Shah
In another blow to former BCCI officials N Srinivasan and Niranjan Shah, the Supreme Court has once again raised its doubts on their inclination to get back into cricket administration.

The next hearing of their case will be heard on July 24 while a plea by some associations debarring them as permanent members of BCCI to be heard on September 5.

Meanwhile, the apex court has accepted the unconditional apology of former BCCI president Anurag Thakur and dropped all contempt and criminal proceedings against him

The Committee of Administrators ( CoA) had described Srinivasan and Shah as "disqualified office bearers with vested interest" and said they were trying to stall the implementation of Lodha reforms.

It was the fourth status report that has been submitted to the Supreme Court by the CoA. The earlier reports were filed on February 27, March 17 and April 7.

The report praised acting Secretary Amitabh Chaudhary for trying to work towards implementation of reforms but accused treasurer Aniruddh Chaudhary - a Srinivasan loyalist - of being a "mute spectator".

The COA also expressed its helplessness in building consensus among State Units.
