BCCI releases special Gautam Gambhir-Virat Kohli interview: Here is what they talked about

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to release a special interview featuring Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir and batting star Virat Kohli. The interview took place before the Test series against Bangladesh begins.

Gambhir and Kohli, known for their intense competition, especially in the Indian Premier League (IPL), have had confrontations in the past. However, since Gambhir became the head coach, they have put their differences aside for the team's benefit.

The BCCI shared a teaser of their exchange on Wednesday. During the conversation, Kohli and Gambhir shared their thoughts on their on-field behavior. Here's what they talked about


Kohli asked, "When you are batting and you have a bit of a chat with the opposition, did you ever feel like this might carry on to you going out of the zone and potentially getting out, or it put you in a more motivated state?"

Gambhir replied, "You have had more altercations than I have. I think you can answer that question better than I can." Both laughed as Kohli added, "Main to ye dhund raha hun ki koi meri baat se agree kar jaye. Ye nahi bol raha ki galat hai. Koi to bole haan, yahi hota hai."

Kohli mentioned that they have moved past their previous disagreements. He stated, "So, here we are. We have come a long way and putting an end to all the masala." Gambhir responded with a laugh, "That's a good start to the conversation and all the spice."

Kohli and Gambhir were teammates during India's ODI World Cup win in 2011.
