The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the tender for title sponsor rights for international matches played in India.

The tender document, which can be availed of with a non-refundable fee of Rs 1 lakh, will be available for purchase until August 21.

Any interested party wishing to submit a bid is required to purchase the tender; however, only those satisfying the eligibility criteria will be eligible to bid.

The cricket board clarified that purchasing the tender does not entitle any person to bid.

It added that the board reserves the right to cancel or amend the bidding process at any stage in any manner without providing any reason.

MasterCard was the title sponsor for all international cricket matches in India from September to March.

It had replaced Paytm as the title sponsor. The company was reportedly paying Rs 3.8 crore per match, the same as Paytm.

Paytm's title sponsorship deal with BCCI was expected to run from September 2019 to March 2023.

However, the digital payments giant decided to assign its title sponsorship rights to MasterCard since it was looking to trim costs to become profitable.

The BCCI had recently awarded the lead sponsor rights to fantasy sports platform Dream11 from 2023–26 for a base price of Rs 358 crore.

Apart from Dream11, Disney Star was the only other player to pick up the tender document for academic purposes.
