Oct 13 (The Sports Xchange) - The Washington Nationals won't have right-hander Stephen Strasburg available if they advance to the National League Championship Series, according to manager Dusty Baker.

Strasburg suffered a setback in Monday's bullpen session and his return this season remains uncertain.

Corey Kluber will start Friday's Game 1 of the American League Championship Series for the Cleveland Indians against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Kluber was 18-9 this season. He also started Game 2 of the ALDS against David Price and pitched seven shutout innings after being slowed late in the season by a quadriceps injury.

Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Wednesday and should be ready for spring training, the team announced.

San Diego Padres right-hander Tyson Ross was scheduled to have surgery on Thursday to address thoracic outlet syndrome and is expected to require four to six months to recover, manager Andy Green told reporters.
