Bangladesh superfan 'Tiger Robi' beaten by locals in Kanpur, hospitalized: Watch viral video

A Bangladesh cricket fan known as Tiger Robi was taken to the hospital on Friday after he claimed to have been attacked by local spectators at the Green Park Stadium. The incident occurred during the second Test match between India and Bangladesh. Robi reported that he was struck on the lower abdomen and back, causing difficulty in breathing. A video has gone viral on social media in which hurt Robi is trying to explain the incident.



Robi shared his experience, stating, “They hit me on my back and lower abdomen and I could not breathe.” Security personnel swiftly assisted him, transporting him to a nearby hospital for immediate medical care.


Despite Robi's claims, police at the venue reportedly refuted the allegations of an attack. The police plan to review official CCTV footage to investigate Robi's accusations further.

During the first session of the match, Robi was seen waving the Bangladeshi national flag and chanting slogans from the C block balcony. However, he allegedly encountered some local spectators, which led to a confrontation before security intervened. Robi contends that he was assaulted by a few individuals during the lunch break.
