England captain Harry Brook scored his first one-day international century, leading his team to a 46-run victory over Australia in a rain-affected match in Durham. England now trails 2-1 in the five-match series. Brook's unbeaten 110 and Will Jack...

The win keeps England's hopes alive in the five-match series, which now stands at 2-1 in Australia's favour with two matches remaining.
Chasing a target of 305, England were in trouble early at 11-2 after left-arm quick Mitchell Starc dismissed openers Phil Salt (0) and Ben Duckett (8) within the space of four deliveries.
However, Brook (110*), alongside Will Jacks (84), steadied the innings with a crucial 156-run partnership for the third wicket, combining composed shot selection with aggressive stroke play under pressure.
With England on 254-4 after 37.4 overs, rain halted play. At that point, they were 46 runs ahead of the required total based on the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method for rain-affected games.
Persistent rain meant no further play was possible, sealing a vital victory for England and snapping Australia’s 14-match winning streak in ODIs. The Ozs posted 304, with Steve Smith's striking 60-run knock and Aaron Hardie (44) and Alex Carey (77 not out) making the most in the final 10 overs.
Earlier in the match, Australia posted a competitive 304-7 after being put in to bat. Wicketkeeper Alex Carey remained unbeaten on 77, while Steven Smith contributed 60.
England’s Jofra Archer took 2-67 in an otherwise challenging outing for the home side's bowlers.
The fourth ODI will take place at Lord's on Friday as England look to level the series.
