Cricket fans can look forward to the official revelation of India’s 15-member T20 squad for the 2025 Asia Cup, with a press conference scheduled for Tuesday.

However, the announcement that was set to be made at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai at 1.30pm is likely to be delayed due to persistent bad weather in the business capital, reported TOI. T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav and Ajit Agarkar, chairman of the BCCI Senior Men’s Selection Committee, are still expected to address the media.

The squad will represent India in the highly anticipated Asia Cup, set to take place in the United Arab Emirates later this year, providing a crucial platform ahead of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Asia Cup 2025: Dates & venues

The 17th Men’s Asia Cup will be hosted by the UAE from September 9 to September 28, 2025. Matches will be played across two premier stadiums: Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai and Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The tournament will follow the T20I format and is considered a vital preparatory step for teams ahead of the next year’s T20 World Cup, offering a chance to test combinations and strategies in competitive conditions.

Eight teams will compete in the Asia Cup, divided into two groups:
