India vs United Arab Emirates T20 Pitch report: How will the playing conditions turn out? Check details

India, seen as one of the strongest contenders for the Asia Cup T20 2025, will begin its campaign against hosts United Arab Emirates (UAE) tonight at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

This will be the second match of the tournament and only the second time that India and UAE meet in T20 Internationals.

The last encounter was during the 2016 Asia Cup, making this a rematch after nine years.

The upcoming fixture will be played on a fresh surface in Dubai. The last international game here was the 2025 Champions Trophy final, where spinners played a decisive role. However, the new pitch is expected to assist pace bowlers early on, while batting could get easier as the ball gets older.

So far, Dubai has hosted 93 T20 Internationals. Teams batting first average a score of 145 runs. The stadium has produced a nearly even split between batting first and chasing sides — 45 wins for teams setting a target, and 47 victories for chasing teams, with one match ending in a tie.

UAE has played 13 T20 Internationals at this venue but managed to win only three. India, in comparison, has played nine matches here, securing five wins and suffering four defeats.

The game is not expected to face rain interruptions, but heat and humidity could test players throughout the evening. According to forecasts, the temperature around toss time will be close to 37°C, and it is expected to stay around 35°C during the match. High humidity levels may add to player fatigue, making conditions physically demanding.
