India will be eyeing a third win against the arch-rival after already having won two matches comfortably in the last two weeks. Meanwhile. a Pakistan will look to upset team India and clinch their third Asia Cup title.

India has been dominant throughout the tournament with six wins in as many matches, while Pakistan have suffered both its defeats to India.

The campaign has also been marred by off-field controversies. Tensions flared up when Indian players refused to shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts after the group-stage encounter on September 14. In response, Pakistan captain Salman Agha skipped the post-match presentation.

The issue spiralled with Pakistan demanding the removal of match referee Andy Pycroft ahead of their clash against UAE. However, the appeal was rejected by the ICC.

At one point, Pakistan even threatened to boycott the tournament, only to back down once their requests were denied and were asked to bear a loss of $16 million.
