Asia Cup 2025 Schedule: India vs Pakistan on this date; check full list of matches here

The Asia Cup 2025 will be played after weeks of uncertainty over the tournament due to increased tensions between India and Pakistan. The tournament, played in the T20 format, will run from September 9 to 28.
While BCCI is the host for the multinational tournament, it will be played in the UAE as per an agreement where India and Pakistan host matches in neutral venues. The India vs Pakistan game has been scheduled for September 14, but the venues within UAE are yet to be named. Not long ago, India had engaged in a military conflict with Pakistan, launching Operation Sindoor in response to a terror attack in Pahalgam.

The announcement came from Mohsin Naqvi, the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). "I am delighted to confirm the dates of the ACC Men's Asia Cup 2025 in UAE. The prestigious tournament will take place from September 9th to 28th. We look forward to a spectacular display of cricket. Details scheduled will be out soon," Naqvi said in a social media post on Saturday.


The decision comes after an ACC meeting in Dhaka, which was attended by 25 member nations.

As per Cricbuzz report, Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the likely venues to host the Asia Cup within UAE. The eight teams have been split into two groups with India, Pakistan, UAE and Oman in Group A while Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Hong Kong constitute Group B. There will be 19 games in all, with the final on September 28. Two teams from each group advance to the Super Four stage, where each team faces the three qualifiers from the opposite group once.

The top two teams from this stage will meet in the final.

With India and Pakistan in the same group there could potentially be three contests between the arch-rivals. Once in the league stage, next in the Super 4 round that kicks off from September 20, and then possibly in the final if the two teams make it that far.
