He has the joint second most five-wicket hauls at 37, sharing the record with Australian great Shane Warne. Sri Lankan legend Muthaih Muralitharan leads the list with 67. Additionally Ashwin has scored 3438 Test runs at an average of 26.45, including six centuries.
Ashwin and Lyon are the only two active bowlers in the top ten wicket takers list in Test cricket.
