Alexa to broadcast live commentary of English Premier League

Sports Flashes, an Indian online radio channel dedicated to broadcasting sports content, has launched its service on Alexa with a Skill focused on the English Premier League (EPL).

The company has partnered with Amazon India to enable the skill that will allow Alexa users in India to listen to the live commentary of EPL.

The skill can be accessed on all Alexa-enabled devices, including Amazon Echo smart speakers as well as the Alexa app. Once the Skill is enabled, users can simply ask Alexa to start a live match commentary during match days.


“We are committed to deliver world class sports content to Indian fans and are now proud audio broadcast partners of EPL in India. This season, for the first time, Indian fans would be able to have access to Live broadcast for all 380 matches of EPL,” said Raman Raheja, Founder, Sports Flashes.

He added that the increasing usage of Amazon Echo smart speakers will give a push to consumption of EPL information on the platform.

Sports Flashes owns rights for the live audio broadcast of all 380 matches of the English Premier League till 2022 in a 4 year deal with talkSPORTS, the global Audio partner of EPL.
