Prayers were held across Assam for ace boxer Lovlina Borgohain on Tuesday ahead of her crucial bout on August 4.

A programme was organised in the Nehru Stadium to pray for Borgohain which was attended by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.


By lighting a candle in front of the statue of Radha Govinda Baruah, Chief Minister Sarma marked the auspicious inauguration of the programme.

Sarma said the programme was organised to pray for Borgohain ahead of her Olympic semi-final.
