Sushil Kumar
The wrestler is a double Olympic medallist and has won gold medals in the 66 kg events in the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games. He is hoping for a hat-trick at Gold Coast.

Mary Kom
A CWG medal is the only one that has eluded the Olympian and ace boxer, who will be looking to fill that gap Neeraj Chopra.

Saina Nehwal
The former World No. 1 in badminton is not in her best form, having had knee surgery, but she still remains a strong contender for medals.

Sakshi Malik
The first Indian woman wrestler to win an Olympic medal. This is her second Commonwealth Games after Glasgow, where she won silver. She is confident of a gold this time.

PV Sindhu
The badminton star will be Indian contingent’s flagbearer at the opening ceremony as well as its biggest gold medal hope. She is currently World No. 3 and though she won bronze at the last Games, she is the favourite since China and Japan are not part of the Commonwealth.
