‘What Is This Tamasha?’: Jyotiraditya Scindia slams ‘green carpet culture’ in Gwalior

At least Fifteen people, several of them teenagers, died when a speeding truck ploughed into a gathering for a Hindu festival in Madhya Pradesh state's Gwalior district on Sunday. The vehicle ran over devotees gathered for the Navratri festival outside the Sheetla Mata temple in Gwalior in the early hours of Sunday (18 Oct). Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia strongly questioned the security lapses and reacted angrily to a VIP green carpet during his visit to the Jaya Arogya Hospital trauma centre in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
