Varanasi’s Kashi ropeway nears completion, passenger services likely from December 2026
Varanasi's ambitious Kashi Ropeway project is nearing completion, with 96% of construction work finished. India's first urban public transport ropeway will connect Cantt Railway Station to Godowlia in just 16 minutes. With trial runs underway, passenger services are expected to begin in December 2026, subject to final safety clearances.
