Trump Admin Suspends Indian IT companies from Labour certification

The Trump administration has suspended major Indian IT companies, including TCS, Infosys, Wipro and HCLTech, from the US Permanent Labour Certification (PERM) programme. The move also affects Cognizant, Capgemini, Microsoft and Adobe. The US Labour Department said it would stop accepting new applications and processing pending PERM cases involving the affected companies, citing alleged misuse of employment-based immigration programmes. The suspension does not directly cancel existing H-1B visas but could disrupt a key route to US permanent residency for eligible foreign workers
