DRDO conducts maiden live jump of Advanced High-Altitude Parachute in Ladakh
DRDO has successfully conducted the maiden live jump of its Advanced High-Altitude Parachute (AHAP) at Nyoma in Ladakh. The jump was executed from 16,000 feet, with the parachute deployed at 15,500 feet and landing at 13,700 feet. The indigenous static-line system is designed for mass deployment of paratroopers in high-altitude terrain.
