CJP calls off September 5 protest march after SC’s verdict to quash all FIRs over student protest

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Tuesday withdrew its proposed September 5 protest march in Delhi, with its spokesperson Saurav Das telling the Supreme Court bench that the decision had been taken in view of steps initiated by the Centre to withdraw cases registered against protesters. Das appeared before a bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi and Justice V. Mohana and informed the court that the organisation had decided to call off the proposed march.
