Assam's CM-FLIGHT opens Japan job pathways for rural youth; Himanta reviews language training

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma interacted with the first batch of CM-FLIGHT trainees undergoing Japanese language training. The programme aims to equip young people with foreign language skills and prepare them for employment opportunities in Japan. Many trainees come from rural backgrounds and are pursuing overseas careers for the first time. Under the scheme, the Assam government provides financial assistance of up to ₹1 lakh for language training. With 140 trainees currently enrolled, the state now plans a major expansion.
